Based in San Francisco, California, Dan Safier serves as the president and chief executive officer of Prado Group, Inc. This investment management and real estate development group looks for residential, mixed-use, and retail property opportunities in high density communities in the greater Bay Area that offer the advantages of high barriers to entry and supply constraints. Responsible for supervising its development and investment management activities, Safier guides the firm’s efforts to improve communities while generating returns on its investments. In recognition of his accomplishments with the firm, San Jose State University invited Dan Safier to offer his insights as part of its Urban Planning Coalition Speaker Series.
Prior to joining Prado Group, Safier attended the University of California, Berkeley, as an undergraduate and subsequently pursued law studies at the University of California, Hastings, College of Law. He afterward became a licensed attorney with the State Bar of California and entered the real estate industry as a portfolio and asset manager with AMB Property Company, overseeing its international client portfolio. Thereafter, Dan Safier joined Prometheus Real Estate Group, Inc., as a principal and executive vice president and remained there until he founded Prado Group.
